Assessment and repair

  • Assessment: One of our vehicle experts will assess the damage with you on site.
  • The best solution for you: Our vehicle expert will discuss with you what the best solution is for you, a repair or a payout.
  • Our repair: Thanks to our reliable partner network, we ensure that your car is repaired in a high-quality and cost-effective manner.
  • Repair date: We organize it all. You don't need to do a thing.
  • Lifetime guarantee: If you later find fault with the repair, the lifetime guarantee that we grant on all repairs will help you.
  • Replacement vehicle: You will receive a replacement vehicle, a public transport voucher or a cab voucher from us. Keeping you mobile at all times.
  • Collection and delivery service: If you don't want to drive to the Zurich Help Point, we offer a pick-up and delivery service for your car. We will return the vehicle, repaired and disinfected, to your own front door.

Claim settlement

  • Arranging appointments: We will arrange an appointment for you at one of our 30 or so Help Points across Switzerland.
  • Administration: Zurich takes care of all the paperwork and administrative handling of the claim.

Free replacement vehicle

  • Replacement vehicle: You can simply leave your damaged vehicle at the Help Point and continue your journey at no extra cost.
  • Cab or public transport: As an alternative to a replacement vehicle, you can also choose a voucher for a cab or public transport.

No extra costs

  • Services provided by Zurich Help Points are free of charge for our policyholders. There are no additional costs for claims processing, vehicle appraisal, etc.
  • Repairs via our partner garages are attractively priced. This means that you benefit from cost-effective repairs without compromising on quality.
  • Anyone using a policy with "Help Point PLUS" also benefits from a reduced insurance premium. Plus, if you arrange the repair through a Zurich Help Point, we will reduce your deductible. This means that you pay less excess in the event of a loss.

"Help Point PLUS" option

Lower premium: With the "Help Point PLUS" option, you pay a lower insurance premium because the repairs are handled via the Zurich Help Point network.

What will this service cost me?

For you as a Zurich customer or as the victim of an accident with a vehicle insured with Zurich, this service is free. We want to wow you with our service excellence. With our Help Point Plus option, you benefit from more favorable car insurance conditions if you have your vehicle repaired via our network.

Is the cheapest repair method automatically chosen?

This is not the case: We don't choose the cheapest, but rather the least invasive repair method for the vehicle and the environment. For rock damage, for example, it is often better not to replace the entire windshield. If the windshield is repaired instead of replaced, this has less impact on the car and is more environmentally friendly: Sustainability is an important concern at Zurich.

Will I be given an equivalent car as a courtesy vehicle?

Of course. Incidentally, the Zurich Help Point is also set up for special requests. If a customer only drives an automatic or needs a child safety seat, we also make that possible. When you pick it up, your car will be freshly vacuumed, cleaned and disinfected. In addition, we carry out a free safety check. The vehicle expert, for example, provides feedback if he or she notices something is wrong with the position of the headrests or the tire tread.

What if I am not satisfied with the repair?

Should you ever be dissatisfied, we will grant you a lifetime guarantee on all repairs via the Zurich Help Point. Having said that, we choose our repair partners carefully and are convinced of their quality: 9 out of 10 Zurich Help Point customers are so satisfied with our services that they would recommend Zurich to their friends and acquaintances.

Do I always have to have my car repaired at the Zurich Help Point?

It's up to you. You can, of course, also choose your usualgarage – they may be a Zurich Help Point partner anyway! However, if you chose the Help Point Plus option when taking out your car insurance, you grant permission for your damage to be dealt with via our Zurich Help Point network. You benefit from the excellent service and a reduced premium. 

How do I submit documents for my claim?

  • If you have received an email from us with a link to the status overview, the easiest way to upload the documents online is to use this link.
  • You can also send your claim documents by mail. Be sure to indicate the clearly legible damage number on all documents and send it to the following address: Zurich Switzerland, Scanning GIC, 8085 Zurich.

How do I modify my claim after after reporting it?

  • If you have received an e-mail from Zurich with an overview of your claims, you can access the status overview at any time via the link there and upload any missing information or documents at a later date.
  • Alternatively, you can also contact us directly on the service number 0800 80 80 80 to make changes to your claim.

Is my event of a loss covered by my policy?

Whether or not an event of a loss is covered depends on your individual policy and the incidence of damage. If in doubt, we advise you to contact us once too often rather than not enough, so that we can check the circumstances and support you if necessary.
